On the nüvi 58LMT detailed maps for Europe are preinstalled. Free lebenslange¹ map updates ensure that current maps, points of interest (POIs) and navigation information is included in your routes. Download new maps over the lifetime of the GPS device for free download.

Free, unlimited traffic subscription to avoid jams

The nüvi 58LMT is equipped with the Garmin traffic so you spend less time in traffic jams. When using the Garmin FM Traffic the map is always displayed on the screen. Traffic information is displayed next to the map, and messages are displayed also spoken. The Garmin traffic can provide details about the location, z. B. the number of minutes delay can be expected and whether there are possible detours. You can also confirm whether you are on the fastest route. Under the unlimited Verkehrsfunkabonnements², the nüvi 58LMT throughout the life of your device receive traffic information – all without advertising and subscription fees. Garmin traffic information is sent directly to the nüvi. A smartphone you do not need.

The Direct Access feature simplifies navigating to certain large-scale locations, such as airports and shopping malls, as a target is found in a larger complex. With DirectAccess navigate even in parking lots, to find the next available input to your destination. If you go to a mall, DirectAccess provides additional information about specific transactions. For example: “. Arrival at Woodfield Mall Anthropology is located in the building on the first floor.”

Addresses and millions of POIs can be found using the search box on the nüvi 58LMT easily in one place. Enter a category (eg. “Pizza”), a full address or a name ( “McDonalds”), and the nüvi 58LMT quickly displays the results.

No more road signs, which are not available to read or not. A look at the nüvi 58LMT enough to know which road you are driving. Also the speed limit, the current tempo and the arrival time are displayed on the nüvi.

You search for POIs near, but do not want to leave the side of the card?Since the function is “POIs along the route” on cue. During navigation, you are always using the function for POIs along the route on service facilities in the area, including restaurants, gas stations and ATMs. The function can even customize so you go always know the location of your favorite destinations.

Current radar controls always in view

The nüvi 58LMT includes our unique system for Cyclops safety camera that outputs accurate alarms in real time, that are relevant to your route. The complete safety camera database is already installed on the navigation device. But you may get regular or one-time updates so you are always informed about the latest camera locations and safely and properly driving.

Warnings for school zones

When you approach a school area, an audible alarm sounds, and the nüvi 58LMT shows on the display a warning. Also the displayed speed limit changes to comply with the speed limit of the education system.

Optional accessories: wireless reversing camera

You are driving even more information available if the nüvi 58LMT with wireless reversing camera BC ™ 30 couple (sold separately; installation by professionals recommended). Once the device is connected, you can vehicles, pedestrians and other obstacles directly displayed on the nüvi see when you reset.
